Elders and Responsible ones training.
As we all know, brother Lee was heavily burdened that that elders would be trained and perfected and that in turn they would train and perfect others. We started our conference by a one-day brothers perfecting training meeting on August 18th,2023 .60 brothers from across East Africa gathered for this time of training. This was the first ever meeting for the responsible ones in this region. We covered three lessons on the eldership namely:
- The training of the elders
- The position of the Elders
- The leadership of the elders.
All the brothers who attended testified on how far short we fall in this matter hence much need for trainings of this kind. We saw that our problem today is basically that the elders in the local churches here are weak. If we were strong and rich in spiritual matters, we would have had much increase in this region. We were so exposed but at the same very much encouraged to go to the Lord more and in His word so that we can be strengthened.
We are considering how we can be having this kind of Lessons frequently so that we can be remade to be useful vessels to our Master. We need to be trained.
